As your wedding photographers, we want to capture all the special moments of your wedding day - from the time you start getting ready with your bridesmaids to the magical walk down the aisle to the emotional first dance with your new spouse. We know this day will fly by in a whirlwind, so we wanted to offer some tips on how to make the most of our photography time while you're getting ready. First, have fun! Pour a glass of something or sip some tea, put on your favourite songs, and soak in every laugh and memory with your closest friends. This is such a special time together - don't worry about looking perfect or posing a certain way yet. The best photos will be the authentic, joyful and candid. Make sure to factor in plenty of time for photography both before and after you put on your dress. We want lots of shots of the full bridal prep experience; the champagne toasts, the party getting ready, you stepping into your heels for the first time. Don't feel rushed - this is all part of the story! Our other tip would be: don't forget the details! We will snap some shots of your gown hanging by the window, your perfume on the vanity, your something old and something new. Close-ups of your veil, shoes, jewellery or other meaningful mementos you're carrying make fantastic photos too. And most importantly, take a little time to yourself right before showtime. Relax into a quiet moment, take a few deep breaths and visualise your partner waiting for you. This will make for a lovely, thoughtful portrait. We hope this helps you feel prepared and at ease on the morning of your wedding. Now relax and let the primping and pics commence!
